Turning Point Community Programs is bringing something special to the State Theatre of Modesto on August 30th, and we would love for you to join us!
We’re hosting a FREE screening of No One Cares About Crazy People, a powerful and deeply human documentary about the crisis of severe mental illness in America, and the families and advocates refusing to give up on the people they love despite a system that too often makes care difficult to access.”
Directed and produced by award-winning filmmaker Gail Freedman and inspired by the acclaimed book by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Ron Powers, No One Cares About Crazy People is a raw, unflinching look at the crisis of severe mental illness in America and the systems at play right here in California. Narrated by Bob Odenkirk, it is a moving and timely film that reflects on what our communities have built and the work that still remains.
